SPRING CLEAN-OUT & TACK SALE NEWS!
ADVERTISE OUR TACK SALE!
April 6th is our annual tack sale at Frontier Park. We desperately need help advertising and selling spots. Attached are links to the flyers you can take to local feed stores, email to friends or paste to social media! Reserve your spot by clicking here!
All clubs are required to donate an item to our silent auction. We will be available to accept them Friday evening, April 5th through Saturday morning April 6th at Frontier Park. There are some great donations already coming in. Please be sure your donated item is secured; wrapped basket or framed certificate.
VALUE VILLAGE FUNDRAISER
We are also holding a thrift store drive fundraiser. Hopefully everyone is collecting bags of used clothing, shoes, & linens to bring on April 6th. Value Village pays us by the pound, so the more we donate the more successful our fundraiser will be!
JUDGINGS & WORKSHOPS
We will be holding a couple workshops and a judging at the April 6th event as well! We have posted a schedule online. Kolts-n-Kitties are starting with a “Road to the Fair” workshop at 10am. This will cover everything from how to use FairEntry.com for our qualifying show sign ups as well as what to expect at Fair, click here for details. We will hold a judging workshop at 1:00pm, prior to the Judging, which will start at 2:00pm.
High Point HorseShoes and Royal Equestrians will be running a coffee and snack table at our event, so bring some change!
HORSE CERTIFICATE & 4HONLINE
Reminder that we will not be accepting paper horse certificates. All animals MUST be entered into 4HOnline prior to May 1st! We are also only accepting Qualifying Show Entries through FairEntry.com and you will be unable to do so if your horse is not entered into “4HOnline” prior. So, if you haven’t done so or aren’t sure, log into your family account on 4HOnline, edit your record, and check the Livestock/Animal tab.
Connie has posted some instructions as well as a list of back numbers from last year on the website. PLEASE look at that list and let her know if there are youth who have graduated out or horses that have been sold, so we can re-use those numbers. Click here to go to our website.
QUALIFYING SHOW ENTRIES
The May Qualifying Show entry site is now open on FairEntry.com, click here. You must use your 4HOnline log in. This is a new process, please be patient and let us know if you are having issues. Connie has spent many hours setting it up but with any new system there is bound to be some confusion. NOTE, WE ARE NO LONGER TAKING PAPER Entries! You must enter online for all qualifying shows as well as Fair. You can find more information on our Qualifying shows on our webpage. Reminder, Jumping and Dressage will be held on Friday evenings this year. You will be able to sign up for a dressage test time and fences will be in the second arena.
SUPREME MEDALS PROPOSAL
There will be a Medals Division meeting 6:30pm, Tuesday, April 9th at the Horse Play Café’ to discuss a proposal to change the requirements for Supreme Medals. If this is a topic that interest you now or in the future, we highly recommend you attend. You can read the proposal by clicking here.
LEADER’S MEETING LOCATION
The April 17th Leader’s Meeting has been moved to The Horse Play Café’. The reservation at the Library was bumped. Thank you, Sandra and Shawna, for allowing us to use your facility!
By next week we will have some volunteer sign-ups out for the Spring Clean-out, April 27th Fundraiser Show and May Qualifying show. Please check the webpage for sign-ups. Remember you are welcome to sign up as a club and share duties. Our shows don’t happen with you!
