|You may have heard there was an outbreak of EHV-1 in King County leading to many Pacific Northwest barns closing their doors and horse activities being cancelled in Januray. Horse owners are smart to take precautions which leads to the question; “What about our clinic in February”.
At this point in time the clinic is scheduled to continue February 2-4, 2018. If we have to cancel all registrations will be refunded. We do ask that you continue to send in your registrations so we can plan accordingly. We are extending our early bird entry deadline from January 1st to January 15th. This will more than likely prevent us from doing t-shirts but its more important that we have enough entries to cover our facility rental cost. For registration information CLICK HERE.
If you want the most current information about the virus outbreaks check the updates posted by the Washington State Department of Agriculture at the Equine Disease Communications Center site. As of Dec. 26th the virus has only been reported at one facility in King County (Other sources have reported it to be a large barn in Woodenville, WA) and they are taking all precautions to keep it contained. Hopefully as the weeks pass the virus will be contained/stopped so business and activities can continue.
