SHOW OFFICE TRAINING TONIGHT  6:00pm – 8:00pm

Come learn what you can do to assist with show office duties before and during a show.  Learn where things are kept, how preparations are done, etc.   The more people in the know the stronger and more efficient our program will run.

QUALIFYING SHOW REMINDERS

This weekend is our June Qualifying show.  Come prepared for the weather!  Be sure you bring cleaning supplies to clean around your trailer and/or your stall.  The Judges meeting is at 7:30am!  This is where you will learn about schedule changes and be able to ask questions of the judges.  Be sure you are there!

Safety in the arenas is a priority!  We have created a “Show Etiquette” document to assist youth in understanding what is expected of them in the practice arena as well as the show arena.  Gamers this pertains to you as well!  We heard multiple concerns as to what is happening in the Gaming Practice arena.  Be aware, courteous, and know the rules!  Please review prior to this weekend!

Note: Arena sheets from the May show have been posted on the website.  It’s a good idea to check judge’s comments prior to your next show.

COMPETITIVE TRAIL RIDES ARE APPROACHING FAST
(June 30th & July 21st

Parents and youth are welcomed to ride, great family activity!  Volunteers are always needed. For more information go to our division website page “Competitive Trail”

NEED MORE PRACTICE

King County 4-H is holding a show at Frontier Park on June 16th & 17th and it’s open to all 4-H youth.  Check out their flyer for information.  There will be gaming and performance!

POSTERS & RECORD BOOKS

We have had a few questions about when and how to turn in Posters & Record Books.  They can be turned in at the JULY qualifying show and or July Horse Board Meeting.

MEETING REMINDERS

We added a June Leader’s meeting this year.  It will be held at the Meridian Riding Club on June 20th at 7:00pm.  Address: 11202 119th Street E, Puyallup, WA 98374.  We will still have our quarterly meeting in July, location will be the 4-H Office.

FAIR DECORATIONS

Reminder, the Horse Department has decided to decorate the barns as a tribute to our Heros in the Armed Forces.  It would be great to have the Marine, Navy, Army, Air Force & Coast Guard 3x5 foot flags displayed.  Maybe we can use them during our flag presentation as well! If your club would like to volunteer to buy one or more of the flags please email Jill to coordinate.

See you this weekend!
